Tudta-e? ?
Although almost exclusively a companion dog, Italian Greyhounds are true greyhounds, which can be easily seen when they get moving. Their gait is springy and harmonious without high stepping, galloping swiftly with a sharp spring.
Italian Greyhounds are square-shaped dogs with forms reminiscent of a Greyhound or a Sloughi only reduced. These smallest of the sighthounds are docile and affectionate if a little reserved. They are certainly full of grace and distinction, qualities that have been winning more and more people over this past decade or so.

Italian Greyhounds are descended from small sighthounds kept at the court of the Pharaohs back in ancient Egypt. They were also popular in the Spartan state, centered on Laconia, where numerous depictions have been found on Greek vases and craters. They first arrived in Italy in the 5th century BC, and in the Renaissance these dogs enjoyed life among the nobility. Some of the greatest painters of Italy and elsewhere have portrayed the breed in their work.
